Emilija Ellen<\/strong><\/a> is an actor, voice-over artist and producer. She plays Sarah <\/strong>in my new project, which was devised during the UK\u2019s Covid-19 Lockdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s Mandy\u2019s 50th Birthday celebration and you\u2019re invited! <\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

At its heart, this story aims to empower anyone\u200a\u2014\u200adirectly or indirectly\u2014\u200a affected by domestic abuse, such as a friend, family member, colleague or neighbour who suspects something isn\u2019t right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The central character is Mandy<\/strong>, who was diagnosed with MS in 1994 (like the actor, Rhona Finch<\/strong><\/a>, who plays her). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mandy brought up her children (Sarah <\/strong>and Ralph<\/strong>) on her own, but has been with her partner Dave <\/strong>for a few years now. They live in Leicester<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

Mandy is a woman you might know.<\/strong> <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

I have known Emilija for several years, having met through the much missed Brian Astbury<\/strong>, a true global citizen and towering creative force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally written as a screenplay, the story would work equally well as an audio drama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
