In a world where a man can be flogged for simply championing free speech and tolerance, surely it’s incumbent on all of us who are lucky enough to live in a democracy, however imperfect, to cherish and promote the hard won right to vote?<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

#Votingmatters<\/strong><\/a> is a new campaign from #Emilymatters.<\/strong><\/a> which champions gender equality and encourages young women to vote, ensuring that legacies of women, such as suffragette Emily Davison,<\/strong><\/a> are not forgotten.<\/p>\n

We’ll be using a specific hashtag for the chat #vm15chat<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 – that’s currently unique on Twitter. This will make it easier to follow the chat, especially if you haven’t joined one before.<\/p>\n
