When we speak together and when we speak so loud \u2026<br \/>\nthey know their game is up.<br \/>\n<b>&#8211; Caroline Criado-Perez <\/b><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The overriding message that I took away from the evening was the importance of taking every opportunity to speak up and to support each other. The future calls for more women in Parliament.<br \/>Photo: E Makeeva, 2014<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There is such a strong momentum in the UK right now, from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dofeve.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Daughters of Eve<\/b><\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.5050parliament.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\"><b>5050Parliament<\/b><\/a> and the newly formed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Go-Girls-Wales\/481751915215327?fref=ts\" target=\"_blank\"><b>Go Girls Wales<\/b><\/a>, who were also at the <strong>NAWO<\/strong> event, which makes it feel like anything is possible.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re doing well but there\u2019s still a long way to go and as <b>Caroline Criado-Perez<\/b> so powerfully portrayed, the vicious backlash towards a number of women who have spoken out in public has dissuaded others from speaking up.
