As a writer and as an actor my aim has always been to capture the essence of that person.<\/p>\n<p>Women such as <strong>Emily Wilding Davison<\/strong>, <strong>Elizabeth Fry<\/strong> and <strong>Mary Queen of Scots<\/strong>, who I have previously written about, attract admirers and detractors. You don&#8217;t want to dramatize it and you don&#8217;t want to under play it. You just want to be true to it.&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; Dame Judi Dench<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first clip is an interview with Philomena Lee herself, with her daughter that refers to some alterations in the retelling of events, for the sake of the drama.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/t.co\/0o37ckq7if\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Click here for the Philomena Lee interview<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And the second, is taken from a Press interview with Dame Judi Dench, where she talks about being\u00a0very aware that her character was based on someone still alive today, whom she met several times and greatly admired.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/t.co\/Pnp85WSk1A\" target=\"_blank\">Click here for the Dame Judi Dench interview<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I loved Philomena and can&#8217;t wait to get the DVD so that I can catch up on the first 10 minutes that I missed due to being directed to the wrong cinema screen (A midly comic scene in itself).<\/p>\n<p>Whether the person is alive or an historical figure, the principal remains the same :<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;That&#8217;s not my story.
