O U T<\/span> R E A C H<\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

We offer a range of creative<\/strong> <\/span>and campaign<\/span> based work<\/span><\/strong><\/span>, related to equality<\/strong> <\/span>and voting matters<\/strong><\/span>, which expand on the work we have developed during #Vote100 anniversary year<\/strong>, local elections<\/strong>, International Women’s Day<\/strong> and International Day of the Girl<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our outreach projects include performances<\/span> <\/strong>of suffragette Emily Davison’s keynote speech<\/span> <\/strong>(drawn from her writings that highlight democracy, equality and social justice), workshops<\/strong><\/span>, talks<\/strong>, pop up and site specific performances <\/strong><\/span>and a theatre production of To Freedom’s Cause<\/strong><\/span>, (about Emily and some of the lesser known working class women who campaigned for equality and the right to vote).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, we can deliver bespoke material<\/strong> for organisations, councils and grassroots groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new version of To Freedom’s Cause<\/a><\/strong><\/span> for 2018 explores the struggle<\/strong> <\/span>and solidarity<\/strong><\/span> of Emily and her brave band of sister suffragettes, with an inspiring call to action for a new generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This interactive performance-talk invites you to enter an empowering time machine, created through the voices of women – elected and campaigning women; women with the vote and women without it. <\/p>\n\n\n

EMILY  DAVISON  SPEECH – A  CALL  TO  ACTION! <\/em><\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

I wrote the speech by the sea, which gave the piece an energy and a momentum:<\/p>\n\n\n

It is part of the new edit of To Freedom’s Cause<\/strong><\/a><\/span> and is also a stand alone speech, ideal for events relating to #Vote100<\/strong>, equality<\/strong> and the local elections<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set in 1913<\/strong>, Emily Davison speaks of the dedication and determination of the women who never gave up the fight for equality<\/strong> <\/span>and the right to vote<\/strong><\/span>. She urges future generations, across the world, to continue to campaign for positive change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a very personal account, drawn from Emily’s writings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WORKSHOPS<\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Drawing on the creative resources of To Freedom\u2019s Cause<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and our contemporary #DearLauren<\/a><\/strong><\/span> \u2018message to a first-time voter\u2019 campaign, our new workshop for 2021 engages participants in the issues around universal suffrage<\/strong><\/span> from the suffragette struggle for the right to vote just over 100 years ago to today, when so many young people voluntarily disenfranchise themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For up to 30 participants, aged 12 and above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, we offer a #ReadyToVote18 workshop<\/strong><\/span>, which focuses on encouraging participants to take a more active role in local and national elections, including registering to vote for this year’s Local Elections<\/strong> on 3rd May<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

INTERACTIVE  PERFORMANCE<\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Weaving elements of To Freedom’s Cause<\/strong><\/a><\/span> into contemporary voting matters, through our #DearLauren<\/strong><\/a><\/span> message to a first time voter campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This impactful short performance, designed for participants aged 16 and above, was premiered as part of the inaugural Woman Up! Festival<\/strong>, London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our work is about bringing people together<\/strong><\/span>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the past few years we have celebrated Emily Davison’s birthday<\/strong><\/span> and International Day of the Girl<\/strong><\/span> with a live streamed tea party that has included playing a suffrage board game, as a means to talk about equality<\/strong> <\/span>and voting matters<\/strong><\/span>, from suffrage history<\/strong><\/span> to the present day<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
