#Emilymatters<\/strong><\/span> is a social media campaign to support and advance gender equality<\/strong>, particularly focusing on the importance of voting<\/strong>. Join our #loveyourvote<\/span><\/strong><\/span> campaign, because democracy works better when more of us have a say.<\/p>\n

Help us do Emily Davison<\/strong><\/span> & her sister suffragettes proud by encouraging more women and young people to have their say at the Ballot Box on 8th June<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Drawing on the experience of suffragette Emily Davison<\/strong><\/span> we use drama and creativity we help to empower women and young people to use their voice and to be heard.<\/p>\n

Our #loveyourvote Twibbon is an easy and effective way to help get the message out that voting matters. Whilst our\u00a0recent register to vote drive was part of the collective\u00a0democratic call out across social media.<\/p>\n

The date of the 2017 UK general election<\/strong>\u00a0has a poignant connection to Emily Davison.\u00a0In 1913<\/strong> just 4 days after her brave Votes For Women protest at the Epsom Derby protest, Emily died on 8th June<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If ever there was a moment to reflect on just how important and precious our right to vote is, given that this election is likely to set the direction of the UK for decades to come, then this is it.
