I wish you a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

I’m an actor, writer, trainer and part-time suffragette with a passion for creating, performing and sharing stories from the heart that empower, educate and entertain. If you’re looking to create an engaging, empowering event, workshop or performance:

It’s been another roller coaster of a year and I feel incredibly fortunate to have made it through.

Given Covid has sprung a surprise on us, please look after yourself, make sure you have had your jabs/jags, wear a mask indoors as well as on public transport.

Thank you to everyone who has been incredibly supportive this year, both personally and professionally. If the past 2 years has taught me anything, it’s that friends and family really do matter. Thank you for being there for me and I hope I’ve been there for you too.

On the creative side, it’s been an unexpected joy to work on hyper local projects linked to the #CultureMile, including #AldgateInWinter. So special thanks to Anna Casey, Elizabeth Mischler, Laura Ratling, Divya Satwani and Sian Bird.

And a big thank you to Christine Nicholson and Mark Huxley from the Company of Entrepreneurs. Mark and I were co-mentors this summer and it has been a game-changer for me, helping me to focus on why I do what I do and what really matters.

I am also hugely grateful to Jayne Howard of #ArtsWell, who has been invaluable in helping me to navigate new terrain after the wonderful #FEUTraining closed its doors at the end of March this year.

It was great to get back to North Yorkshire in November for the premiere of my new project, Phenomenal Women: From Protest to Parliament at the Leyburn Luncheon club meeting at #TennantsOfLeyburn.

And last, but by no means least, I would also like to thank Claire Spencer, who got me back on the Temping ladder – something I was dreading. She was genuinely interested in my creative endeavours and understood that temping was a means to help me steer an even keel through choppy Covid waters. I wish her well as she has left the agency and I miss her care and support.

Looking to 2022, I raise a glass to the NHS, Social Care and Essential Services (s)heroes who continue to go above and beyond as we seem to have strayed into similar territory to last Christmas.

So please, get your jabs/jags and stay considerate of others. It’s a team effort and we can do this!

Much love,
Kate
