THANK YOU to everyone who joined our #EURef Register to Vote ThunderClap on Saturday 4th June 2016. You helped us amplify this important message across social media on the anniversary of Emily Davison’s brave 1913 Epsom Derby protest. The #Emilymatters campaign supports and advance gender equality, particularly focusing on the importance of voting.
The campaign began with a performance of my Emily Davison play To Freedom’s Cause in the House of Commons in February 2014.
To find out more about our voting matters campaigns and how you can get involved, see our #Emilymatters page. We’re working on a series of exciting new projects for 2016 and beyond!
Emily and her sister suffragettes fought for us, future generations, to have the right to vote. Let’s do them proud and encourage more young people to register to vote today.
aboutmyvote.co.uk provides straightforward information about who can vote, how to register as well as information about the Remain and Leave campaigns.
Whilst the BBC’s EU Referendum Reality Check is a hub for unbiased facts on both campaigns.
The EU Referendum matters & it’s vital that everyone who is eligible to vote has their say. It’s about all our futures, but the decision will affect young people most of all.
Let’s continue to ensure that young people’s voices are heard!
